Blog Post 3: Heading to Maine!

Although Issue #1 has been in our hands for less than a month, we're already off to Maine for Issue #2 interviews and photographs!  I'll be posting more information in the coming weeks about the fabulous lineup of talented individuals, innovative companies, and fiber-related organizations that we will be featuring in Issue #2:  Portland and Mid-Coast Maine.  We've just put together our travel itinerary, and I am so excited to get to spend over a week exploring Portland and all of the towns and beaches up and down mid-coast!

I have enjoyed spending the past few summers on the coast of Maine, and I believe it is one of the most beautiful places in the world to photograph.  Whether it's a cerulean blue sky, or marine fog, soft rain or vibrant fall foliage, rocky beaches or white stone lighthouses, Maine is so iconic and stunning to photograph in all its moods and seasons.  One of the most exciting parts of creating the serials is the chance to work with my incredibly talented photographer Karen DeWitz as she captures the spirit of a place, and Maine will be an exceptional setting for just that.

Follow our Maine travels on Instagram and stay tuned to learn more about who we meet, what we see, and the patterns and projects we'll be featuring in Issue #2!  And if you live in Maine, we'd love to hear about the people and places that are special to you there.
