Knitting Pattern Sizes
Beginning with our 2022 pattern lineup, our knitting pattern sizing range will more closely match the sewing pattern sizing range. Currently, we offer different styles with slightly different sizing, but typically patterns will range to fit 32-61” bust measurements. If we do not have a pattern graded in your size, please Contact Us and we will have our knitting TE grade an additional size for you.
Sewing Pattern Sizes
We’ve recently revisited our sewing pattern scale, beginning with 2021 patterns moving forward. Please note that because sewing patterns are closer in size (less stretch and ease), there are more sizes in each range. Our sizing may not match commercial sizing you are familiar with, and we suggest you measure yourself to know which size fits you best!
F I T N O T E S
Our women’s garment sewing patterns are drafted for a C cup for XS-2XL and a generous D/DD or E for 3XL and up. (This runs a bit larger than you may be used to). This information is helpful when making full bust adjustments.
The M in the pattern is drafted for someone 5’6” (168 cm) tall. This information is helpful if you are a little shorter or taller than average and may need to edit the length of the pattern.
Most of our styles have a comfortable or roomier fit, so patterns are designed to overlap between 2-4” per size. (Our block for our 8XL size is built for a 64” bust without seam allowances).
