Lookbook 14: Hudson Valley - Digital

$18.00

Author: Andrea Hungerford

This Lookbook contains all original patterns, projects and text from Lookbook 14’s print version. You can still purchase a copy of this book in print here.

For centuries, upstate New York has been the refuge of artists, writers, crafters and city-dwellers—the close proximity to one of the world’s most enticing cities enhances the quiet, sleepy charm of the Hudson Valley region just a few hours north. Here, meet makers with fascinating backstories and unusual past lives, now exploring their crafts fully amidst cozy, pastoral landscapes. It’s no wonder that this area is also home to one of the largest wool festivals each year: the Dutchess County Sheep & Wool Festival in Rhinebeck, NY, regularly welcomes tens of thousands of visitors in a single weekend for a fiber celebration. We took advantage of 2021’s festival cancellation to visit the area without the crowds and hustle, exploring it in-depth so that future travelers can see the best of what the Hudson Valley has to offer.

Features Include
The Highlands Foundry, Salt + Still, Cal Patch, Murky Depths Dyeworks, Sawkill Farm, Hudson Valley Shop Talk, Hudson Valley Excursions & Day Trips

This book also contains a knitting patterns by designers Andrea Hungerford, Hannah Thiessen, Katerina C. Rieckel, and Sloane Rosenthal. It also features a sewing pattern for the Hudson Swing Coat by Andrea Hungerford, an embroidery project by Hannah Thiessen & Morgan Bowling, and a punch needle clutch project from Rose Pearlman.
