Digital Knitting Pattern: Box Pleat Top

$12.50

It’s the perfect time to pull out your favorite knits, and this sweatshirt-like layering piece is one we love to reach for. Pop it over the Classic Long Sleeve sewing pattern, or wear it solo as the weather transitions throughout the day.

Sizing:

This garment offers 11 sizes: XS - 8X, represented as A (B, C, D, E, F)(G, H, I, J, K) with an approximate chest measurement of 32 (34, 36, 38, 40, 42)(46, 50, 54, 58, 62)”. Shown on our models Andrea (size D) and Lexi (size K) with approximately 10” of positive ease. Review the schematic image included in this pattern and in the images here to best determine your size.

About the Yarn:

The original yarn used for Andrea’s samples is Uist Wool Canach (in colorways Corca and Sans). This 100% Scottish Merino has a lot of bloom, and while it is listed as a fingering weight, the finished gauge is more in line with a DK or worsted weight gauge (21 sts x 27 rows = 4” or 10 cm). We decided to try a version in a slightly heavier yarn, at a tighter version of that gauge—Julie Asselin Nurtured is listed as an aran weight. The result is a very cozy sweatshirt-style, dense fabric. Choose a yarn that makes you happiest with the finished garment and do your best to match gauge for this pattern. It’s more versatile than you’d expect!

You will receive a digital PDF file to download via email to your inbox within 24 hours: check the spam folder before reaching out about missing patterns. Downloads are timed and expire after 24 hours.
